A downloadable game for Windows and macOS

Somewhere in this room is a four-button combination. Nobody has been told what it is.

What you have is a clue. One, to start with, and it is yours alone — nobody else can see it, and you cannot see theirs. There is no shared board, no notes column, nothing to check anyone against. The door opens only if you say your clue out loud and the voices answering you are doing the same.

They might not be.

HOW A ROOM GOES

- Walk to a button and press E to draw a clue. Every clue is private.

- Say what you have. Listen to what they have. Assemble the order between you.

- Enter the combination and hit SUBMIT. You get one attempt.

- Four rooms. Get one wrong and the run ends there.

The combination is both an order and a count — button 2 might be pressed twice, button 4 not at all. Knowing which buttons are involved is not the same as knowing the sequence.

WHO IS LYING DEPENDS ON HOW MANY OF YOU THERE ARE

Alone or in a pair, the lie is already in your own hand: one of the clues you drew is false. From room three, two of them are. Everything you say in good faith may still be wrong.

Three or four of you, and from room two on, one player may be made the mole. Only they are told. They see the same clues everyone else does and they win by keeping the door shut — and escaping alone.

EVERY TWO MINUTES THE CLUES ARE RESHUFFLED AND REDEALT

The clue you announced to the room five minutes ago is now in somebody else's hand, and you can no longer prove you ever held it. Memory becomes testimony, and testimony is exactly the thing this game will not let you verify.

Once per room you may spend your REWRITE: replace a clue you are holding with a sentence of your own. On screen it is indistinguishable from a real one.

VOICE CHAT IS BUILT IN

No Discord, no setup, nothing to configure. Speak and the room hears you. Press M to mute.

PLAYING WITH PEOPLE

Host a room and you are given a room code. Send it to anyone, anywhere. It travels over a relay, so there is no port forwarding, no router settings, and it works from behind mobile internet or a shared connection. On the same network, a direct address is offered as well.

2–4 players. Playable alone if you would rather meet the puzzle before you meet the people.

CONTROLS

WASD move · E press · M mute · H how to play · Esc leave

NOTES

The macOS build is unsigned — right-click the app and choose Open the first time, or macOS will refuse it.

Made in Godot 4 for Brackeys Game Jam 2026.2. The theme is TRUST NO ONE, so the game was built around a single idea: give every player real information, give them no way to confirm anyone else's, and then take the information away again while they are still arguing about it.
